Biography

Maurice was born here and has lived most of his life in Carson City. After graduating from Douglas High School he went on to trade school in Phoenix, Arizona. Maurice’s children were born here and graduated from Carson High School.

Maurice’s nearly 40 year career as a medium/heavy duty diesel mechanic in both the private and public sectors required varying levels of education, training, and responsibility from entry level to department manager. Maurice capped his career as the department manager responsible for all aspects of supplying engines for Co-generation power plants used across North and Central America as well as Asia.

In retirement Maurice enjoys pursuing his passion of being involved in community enrichment. Recognizing that volunteer and philanthropic work creates a complete community Maurice has, through out his adult life, endeavored to be active in his community helping create and support various non-profit groups.

Maurice believes that fishing, metal art, and benevolence are important aspects of a happy, healthy life. Honesty, hard work, and continued education are a few of the things that are key to being successful.
